It has been a day for the bowlers as the Galle wicket has become a spinner’s paradise on day three, first for Sri Lanka who led a fightback early on bowling the visitors out for 414.

But Sri Lanka have not been able to replicate their form with the bat and have found life against Lyon and Kuhnemann particularly tricky with two wickets a piece. Lyon has nabbed his 550th Test wicket in Galle and will be desperate for more.

It is looking highly unlikely that Sri Lanka can build any sort of total to challenge Australia, but Angelo Mathews is still there and fighting with 35.

A great response from Australia on day three.
